MY ROLE: Director of Photography

On this set for a Sophomore USC student (Gaoyang Ganjin), I was the Director of Photography. I had a great time on this near 20 day shoot working with professional actors and stunt coordinators. We shot with the Canon C300 Mark II and the beautiful Cooke s4i Primes (25,35,50,75,100). As for lighting, we utilized 2 Arri Skypanel s60's along with 8 Astera Titan Tubes.

MY ROLES: Extra Character, PA & BTS Photographer

On this set for a Senior (Alex Utz), I was a Production Assistant as well as BTS photographer on the set. I had a great time on this long shoot because it was my first time working on a senior production instead of a junior's. We used the Arri Alexa Mini and had a larger crew. Not only did I work as a PA and take BTS Photos, but I also was an extra background character in the classroom scenes. Since the short film was a 60's period piece, it took a while to set the scene and make sure everything was accurate according to the time period. Here are some of the pics I took on set:

MY ROLES: 1st AC, PA, Media Manager, Camera Op

On this set for a Junior (Harrison) at NYU, I worked as the Production Assistant, Media Manager, and 1st AC for both 12 hour days Nov1st & 2nd. I learned a lot from this set as it was my first set experience at NYU. I learned about the importance of clear communication between the director, the crew, and most importantly, the actors on set. I also helped with the cinematography by setting up certain shots and providing creative insight as to how certain shots could be enhanced to visually tell the story in a more compelling manner. My favorite part about this production was being able to learn all the necessary functions of the Canon C300 and the 24mm Prime Cinema Lens in order to operate the heavy rig for certain shots.
